Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor is currently busy in the promotions of his upcoming film Maidaan, starring Ajay Devgn. Based on the life of the late legendary Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, the Amit Ravindernath Sharma directorial is all set to release on the big screens on April 10. Amidst it all, the producer has been opening up about his personal life and professional achievements during his various media interactions. Now, he has opened up about his daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s rumoured relationship with ex-boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya and hinted that the duo is currently dating.
In an interview with Zoom, the 68-year-old producer-actor expressed his adoration for Shikhar. He went on to explain that even after things didn’t work out between the latter and Janhvi, a few years back, he maintained a friendly relationship with him and he was convinced that Pahariya would always be around. Kapoor stated that his family is blessed to have someone like him in their life. Quoted by News18, the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar actor said, “I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he can never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. For the unversed, Janhvi and Shikhar often become the talk of the town because of their mushy posts and lovey-dovey comments. If reports are to be believed, they were in a relationship before her debut film Dhadak. They broke up, due to reasons best known to them, soon after. It was in 2022, that reports of them getting back together started surfacing. Ever since their social media interactions and spottings have left fans with excitement to know what is cooking between them. Shikhar Pahariya is the grandson of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sushilkumar Shinde.
On the work front, he recently announced that No Entry 2 is in the making. The much-anticipated sequel of the Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan starrer will star Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. The trio will reportedly be seen romancing 10 heroines in the film.
